first they tell us "no new album until March 2008"
then all of a sudden it's like
"OH HI NEW ALBUM OUT IN 10 DAYS. KBAI"

They also are gonna let people pay how ever much they want for it.

That pretty badass IMO

A band called Ultrasport did the same thing first here in Finland a few months ago. They actually sold CDs for however much people were willing to pay. The CDs were sold nationwide (though in somewhat selected stores).

So in their case, if someone bought the CD for, let's say 10 cents, the band made some loss 'cause they had to pay for the delivery to the shops, printing the CD and covers etc.

EDIT: Actually they still sell the CD for whatever people want to pay in their webshop, but postage fee is added.
