Unfortunately, I wasn't brought into the world of WATS from self-discovery. I was one of the unlucky ones who had their asses handed to them by catching the trailer on a TV show entitled "Attack Of The Show" broadcasted on G4TechTV. Lucky for me however, while the show was taunting the audience with promises of the trailer, I was ready to record the presentation. I was not disappointed, and has been mentally beating everyone within viewing distance by watching it repeatedly everyday.

I, like Agent M, caught it on the front page of YouTubez, and I thought it looked freaking amazing.

It really looks amazing, and I'm uber pumped.

I guess this movie kinda falls into the "cult" film genre, seeing as how the modern gamer/anime generation are the people who will be pumped to see it, then everyone else will just be oh, it got good reviews i'll go see it. Then there heads go mega_explody_hella_boom.

I found the trailer by accident, the same way Keks and Agent M did. That trailer is what first got me hooked.

The utter awesomeness of M Dot Strange and his other videos are what kept me hooked.

Once upon a time, I was surfing the internet. At my visit to youtube, I saw an interesting front page entry (most of the time I ignore them). I clicked it and saw the WATS trailer. Due to the extremeness and originality, my mind couldn't take it and I had to push the memory of the trailer to the back of my subconscious to prevent my head from exploding. I continued on with my life. A few months later, I was looking through the sundance film list (For my sundance class) to see what ones I wanted to see. I came across the title "We are the strange". The memory was rekindling in my head, and I recognized it. Looking through the apple movie trailer page, I thought it was there where I saw it, but it was no where to be found. "Where did I see this before?" I asked myself. I then went to the trusty google page, and searched for my long lost memory. I saw the it at youtube, and clicked. I watched the trailer again, except with an open mind and I was able to cope. Being awestruck from this trailer, I knew I had to be one of the first to see it. After, I went to funy_mony's to study math. During one of our breaks, I insisted we went on youtube to watch this trailer again. Funy was reluctant at first, being frustrated and confused by our math. Luckily, the Math was able to dull funy's mind enough to cope with the trailer once we saw it. After watching the trailer, Ed said, "we have to see this movie". After our study session, I went home and watched the trailer again, but this time I looked at the person who submitted it. It was Mdot himself! I clicked and looked at his youtube page, I then sent a link to Ed via Messenger and we watched his videos. After my preparations for sundance, I was able to get premiere tickets (and extra slc tickets) for WATS. We saw the film and loved it.

What attracted me to WATS was entirely by accident. I was on Youtube, looking at a video (I think) called the "Evolution of Dance", and I had seen the video come up after the video is over, and they show you popular videos you could look at. I personally, thought it was an anime movie. I don't care for anime too much (I love the movies, but Television Anime, I'm just burnt out on, and movies based off of T.V. animes, I feel the exact same way.) But I saw it was a "Trailer".
"I like movies, let me check it out."

I was disturbed, excited, all the emotions of the world when I saw this. I showed it to my family and they thought I was on drugs.

No, I wasn't, I just saw genius, and it was this movie.

In all honesty the trailer that started out with the Tatu song really got me hooked (I literally spent 9+ hours searching for it online). Then all of the comedic announcing, AWESOME visuals and fight (and dance!) scenes got me totally hooked. By the time "be sure to bring your giant robot" was said I knew I had to see this film.

I don't really remember what got me on WATS... I just know that it appealed to me and, thus, I was hooked. :3

I think maybe it was one of the random links YouTube likes to hand out... Similar to what solidgameboy12 said, but without all the complimentary/ass-kissing stuff. XP

it was definitly the str8nime and each character playing its part.   the death of rain and ori sort of reminded me of gray fox death in metal gear solid.   tho i had to remember it was a game as at the end i didnt like the abrupt ending.   well that would be another discussion "what would you like added in the WATS?"  i would like a victory celebration of many scoops of ice cream of various flavours at the end ^_^
