I am really into the visual style of the film.  The trailers and what M dot has released looks amazing.  Not only that I tend to think a little too far and think about what the characters seem to represent.  I'd go talk about it but I have yet to see the movie.

I'm all about the music. I've been listening to chiptunes for a looooong time. This movie was immediately appealing to me. The visuals make it all the more pwnage. I can't wait to see it.

2 seconds into the trailer i was a life long fan of M dot Strange.

I just got tired of the crap formula hollywood was using and was looking around for something different. I still haven't seen it, I really wanna though.

My brother's the avid gamer and tester... and then I'm the avid film and animation student.  This is the first independent film I've heard of that combines both.  Plus, I saw the mario paint and I was like WTF???  So yeah... I'm waiting on that video where he explains how he got mario paint to work on his computer.  If it's there and I just haven't seen it, could someone post a link??

lessee... the music sounds great, the visuals are complicated (something i like in comics and video), it has giant robots, the characters are crazy good (similar to poptarts), theres fighting, theres much brain usage (something you dont get from a lot of films), its involving, theres action that isnt really dumb, there's a detachment from reality that i find incredibly attractive, it has stopmotion clay mofoes, and above of all it's batshit crazy.

for me the music and preaty pictures!

The originality of the film, and the awsomeness of M Dot Strange.

And of course the animation... I love animation.

I've only seen the trailer so far but the film looks awesome. The style seems really original and not to mension the storyline. I like storylines which are more unusual and not necessarily bound by the confines of reality.

Visually stylish, great music, and great concept.


Also like the symbolism seen in his clips.

The trailer was a like a magnet that pulled me into the world of mdot forever!!! xD. I love the music, the originality, the abstract storyline and surreal eviroments, and also the "Str8nime" style.

I think I watched the trailer like 50 in 2 days it way just so cool

I actually can't think of a single aspect of the movie that made me NOT interested. ^^

I am a HUGE fan of video games and Japanese culture, as well as computer graphics and 8-bit. The fact that this movie put basically ALL those together was just mind-blowing/head-exploding for me.
Another thing was that I hate how movies are starting to repeat in plot and their look. Too much talking, not enough things going on. I actually didn't realize untl after WATS was shown at Sundance that the story was told mstly by visuals, which I think is awesome and makes me wanna see it more!

The only thing that I can think of I didnt like was the fact that it was going in the horro category. I'm not a huge fan of horror films (I downright have a phobia of them), however, I think the uniqueness overall of the feel and look of the film has massively overpowered my dislike of the genre. ^^

Its soooo f'in weird that i couldn't help but be drawn into it. Its so orignial, distictive and unique. I've seen nothing like it. and the music is the sex!

My god, when the moment the music started playing and I saw the different styles of art and animation, I was captivated.  I became an instant fan of it.  I absolutely cannot wait to see the whole thing.  M dot, I really hope this makes you a millionare.

I signed up for a sundance class in my college.
Saw the trailer, saw the mdot film schools, and fell into the awesometisity of it. Never been so hyped up for anything in my life. It was waaay cool. Finally something RARE that fits my interests, in a freakin theatre. I am really glad that this is around. I'd like to type more but i'm being yelled at to go to sleep.

All I can say is that the whole thing in general is genious and revolutionary in its very own way.

Ya know what's weird? I stumbled on We are the Strange almost on accident.  I saw the trailer on the front page of YouTube and was all "Hey that looks cool."

To think if I didn't go on YouTube that day I might have never known about this movie and we wouldn't have a board to be strange on.  o.o; Interesting though, eh?

Somehow I stumbled upon the trailer.. I don't remember how then I watched his first videos and got addicted >.> all those dolls are realy kewl. And im like making one Barbie doll right now O.O Like a custom made barbie. I personaly don't realy like dolls . They scare me. I can never sleep with a doll in my room . But Mdot kinda changed that >.>

There's something that's oddly like a coupling of two specie in WATS.  It has the over-all style coined "str8nime".  There's a core to this genre f*ck that makes the dividing line between graphical excellence(High Def) and style(8-bit) then blows that line up into a universe of posibilities.  

***If you don't quite hold onto this sleep deprived mania speak I'm on bare with me!***

To push it to the limit here-- there's a form and function in everything.  M-Dot's said to hell with the differences of it all with laser eyes keen and set to 'molten explosion' he edited film and sound into a statement about what can be.
