As of late Gabbly has been problematic so I've been working hard on trying to resolve as many issues and forming a backup system.  Right now Gabbly is the best looking and easiest to use chatroom out there so that will still be our main chatroom.  That and apparently some members can't use the backup chatroom.

It will open up a new webpage.  Just change your Gabbly name (it's something like Gabbly332) to your WATS board name and you're ready to chat!  I've played around with it and to prevent any confusion--here is one little warning.

---PAY ATTENTION TO THIS---
When you click the link it opens up the WATS Board's front page (if you have Firefox or the new Internet Explorer it opens it as a tab) as well as a Java Chatroom screen. If you exit this new page or click =ANY= links on that webpage the chatroom will close.  This is because the chat only works on the front page and you can't go around to other sections of the board.  So if you want to post messages or check out one of the sections you'll have to do it on the normal front page (and not the http://gabbly.com/www.wearethestrange.aceboard.com front page).

In order to change your name just type in the name you use on the WATS board in the text box next to "Name:" and click "Change".

It's possible for people to pose as other people.  Someone can pretend to be M dot Strange or Agent M and spread rumors.  BUT it's possible to verify if a person is real or not.  Simply check who's online on the board.  If a person is using the chat then they should be online on the board.  If you see someone in the chat and they're not online on the board then chances are they aren't the real person.


THE BACKUP CHATROOM

During the 2/16 Talk With M dot day Gabbly wasn't functioning correctly.  No one except for a few members could login.  As a result we all had to hop to a temporary chatroom I knew of.  Then I created a WATS version of this chatroom.

So now, this new chatroom will act as our backup chatroom.  If, for whatever reason, you can't seem to log on Gabbly then go to this chatroom.  If you see other members in this chatroom then Gabbly is being problematic. PLEASE ONLY USE THIS CHATROOM IF GABBLY ISN'T FUNCTIONING!

If Gabbly isn't working properly during a board event (Such as chat with M dot day) then I will create a forum stated "PLEASE HEAD TO BACKUP CHATROOM". To move members there.

By the way, the results of the survey was that Gabbly is the most prefered method of chatting.

This was decided by taking those who voted for, and subtracting whoever voted for not.

For a while MSN was tied with gabbly and followed by AIM.  No one seems to like Yahoo.

So, is the Friday Chat with Mdot dead or what?
Cause for the last 2 weeks, there hasn't been any people around (unless I missed some post about this).
