Gantz was really good but the only problem is they speeded up the series. although the anime did kick ass though, but I still would have to say the mangas better.

Samurai Champloo did the whole hip-hop Samurai thing much better.

To be completely honest I have to say Blood+

The whole series is original and addictive. While it does have some anime cliches it makes them seem new. Rumor has it that the show is coming to the [adult swim] lineup in march after Trinity Blood finishes its run (that show is horrible) so be sure to check it out if you get CN.
