Uh maybe it would help if I elaborated...

Kemonozume is a recent, shockingly underrated, 13-episode series by Masaaki Yuasa, who also directed the animated feature Mind Game.

Both Mind Game and Kemonozume are INCREDIBLY GREAT and must be seen by all animators, animation fans, and other humans.

Basically, please everyone watch both Kemonozume and Mind Game. Neither alas have yet been released in the west. The Japanese Mind Game DVD has english subs... or you know... bittorrent!!

Do whatever you need to to see these. Hyperbole cannot express how much I can recommend them both! ^_^

I just checked, and Kemonozume is still one of the greatest things of all time.

They both look really cool. I gotta find a way to get my hands on them.

...tho if you order the Mind Game DVD from japan (from yesasia.com etc) it has english subtitles i believe; for the main feature at least.

Both are well worth seeing... way too underrated. a lot of "mainstream" anime fans don't seem to get it, but I know anyone who's into WATS should be open-minded enough about animation styles to give them a go! ^__^

The two legendary indicators of how good Mind Game is are as follows:

- When Mind Game was released in Japan, the staff of Madhouse animation studio, who didn't work on the film or have any commercial interest in it, volantarily went out on the streets with sandwitchboards advertising the movie!

- The Japanese ratings board gave it a 'universal' rating even thought it contains some sex and violence, because they thought it was too good to prevent anyone seeing it!
