I agree, Funimation didnt murder things TOO badly. And it is mostly at the fault of Cartoon Network. However, 4Kids, I believe, it at the fault for a LOT.

Take Yugioh for example. Yes, I was/STILL AM a yugioh fan. The reason - The original yugioh KICKED ASS. But they decided to change the ENTIRE show to have it okay for kids. In the original Yugioh, known as Season 0 or Shadow Games (you can find the episodes on youtube), there were seriously only 2 or 3 episodes that had ANYTHING to do with the card game. The rest of the series was Yugi playing actual Shadow Games, for example the "Save Tea from falling off the top of the school and her death" game or the "grab teh watch before the swinging blade slides your wrist off" game. THAT was kick ass and it mainly focused on the whole Eqpytian gods and goddesses instead of a stupid card game.

One Piece, as mentioned before, was completely KILLED. 4Kids cut out entire battles and episodes that were vital to the series. So, the episodes are completely screwed up if you try to look them up on youtube from sub to dub (like episode 73 in dubs is actually something like episode 96 in subs I believe). Plus I HATE the name changes. His name is "SMOKER" and he has a freaking CIGARETTE, not "Chaser" and smoke just pours out of his mouth with no reason! >< And Sanji does NOT eat a lollipop!

Some of the fault could be from Cartoon Network or KidsWB (where yugioh was showed), but 4Kids could still do a better job at changing things.
