i was just wondering
all that new avantgarde filmmakers (who are 25-30yrs for instance) are creating something new.
of course, they didn't live in the same era as those filmmakers directing in 70's, so that's obvious.
they live in their unique worlds and take their inspiration from them.
everyone's happiest memories are from childhood (so i remember my snes and psx playing days... and this filmmakers lived in the 8-bit era.

so, is the use of 8-bit music and playing gameboy, just because it reflects some special feeling for you, somewhat predetermined?

has somebody actually think of putting schranz/techno in a feature? or maybe somebody will in couple of years, when the 90's generation will grow up..

schranz?

Uhhh lots of movies have dance music on them already...? Dunno what you mean.

I remember being totally blown away when Pi came out by the fact that a movie actually had Drum & Bass on the soundtrack!

I am currently in post for my portfolio short film project. Its edited in a similar fashion of a computer glitching out as reality becomes more and more warped throughout the film. I begin the sound design this week and I dont even have picture lock >_<;;. Its exciting nonetheless. I've got some glitch sound kits I've been dying to use! Lots of digital Non-diagetic sounds to create the "technologic apocaplypse" theme and mood.
The film will be done at the beginning of april, so I'll make it available for those here who want to view it.

I absolutely love 8-bit music...
Might be because I used to love playing Game Boy.
I still have my very first one.
The original kind.
Man, that thing is heavy...

I like straight up 8-bit music the most. No vocals, no instruments, just straight bleeps and bloops.

also they have used techno music in movies since the late 90's.

Just look at any action movie thats ever been made since 1997.

Yes, Schranz!!! errrh, no!
there is a lot better techno then something robert natus or chris liebling would put out of there ass like a line of coke in the restroom on u60 in frankfurt on a saturday night.

check "I K U" which is a japanese cyborg porn. it has sooper hella awesome music/techno in it... Saboten is da man!!!

especially Saboten - pollution.

well, there isn´t any good "techno" in films.
it is only a hand full, like IKU for instance.

guess i think like this, since i separate techno played on radio/tv/film/regular cd shop and what you can find on a rare vinyl or ebay.

hopefully just more decadent music will find it´s why into films in the feature.

tack
skit på er.
